Hot Tools Ceramic Tourmaline Deep Waver

Hi all,
sorry it has been so long since I have done a post but I have been insanely busy with moving to our new house and all.
So just before we moved I received my hot tools ceramic tourmaline deep waver. I must say I LOOVE this item.

Product Description

The Hot Tools Ceramic Tourmaline Deep Waver is the only deep waver that uses PULSE Technology allowing for superior heat up and recovery times.

Hot Tools technology evolves into even more powerful performance. The all new Deep Waver has the added protection of Ceramic Tourmaline technology which heats the hair follicle from the inside out, thus maintaining its integrity. Ceramic Tourmaline barrel produce negative ions and far-infrared heat to add shine, reduce frizz and improve hydration. Titanium additive improves strength and resistance to corrosive material.

Improved Pulse Technology heats up to 430 degrees with a 180 Watt peak
Provides long-lasting waves in any type of hair
Locking plates for easy storage
Cool tips for easy handling
Variable heat settings
Lateral power switch
8-ft swiveling cord

For me I find it very hard to find a product or technique that gives me those perfect beach waves. This item really achieved that look for me. It heats up super quick and I find it very easy to handle and work my hair through. I find once the product has reached the desired heat setting the tool just works flawlessly and quickly forming those deep romantic waves.

For this look I just split my hair into its layered sections starting with my longest layers and working the tool right from the root to the tip of my hair. I did take different sized sections to achieve more of a natural waved look. I did leave my bangs un-touched just cause I like that part of my hair to stay flatter to my head. After all waves are instilled in my hair I take my fingers and run them through my hair to separate the waves. I really love the amount of body these waves give to my hair. And if you want to achieve a sexier look just take a medium claw clip and pull back a side of your hair.

Overall this is a great product specially if you are like me and constantly searching for products that will give you those waves you have always dreamed of.

Just wanted to let all of you guys know just how much I appreciate your commitment to following my blog and all your wonderful comments, Once I hit 50 followers which is only 7 away I am going to have an amazing giveaway so if you guys can help spread the word so that I can commence with the giveaway!
thank you all again
lots of love

Personal Microderm System Review

I would like to first start by thanking SkinCareRx for giving me this wonderful opportunity to try the at home personal microderm system and the chance to share my own review.
I absolutely enjoyed my time using this product. I personally have tried microderm systems that a dermatologist offers in their offices. I must say this little hand held system can really measure up to thr doctor’s machine.

Product description

- Achieve amazing anti-aging results at home with Personal Microderm System. It works just like a professional microdermabrasion treatment without the hassle or cost. The hand-held device uses the same aluminum oxide crystals as the ten thousand dollar machines found at your doctor's office. It smooths away dead skin cells, diminishing age spots and other signs of aging
- The system includes 1 personal microderm, 3 exfoliating discs (2 green and 3 blue), 1 electric cord (Standard U.S. Outlet), 1 facial cap, 1 body cap, 1 reusable filter, Instructional CD and Pamphlet.
. (

I started off with using this product on my hands once a week with the large green disk. The first time I used the product I was astonished at how much softer my hands felt. I have very rough hands so this system was an amazing addition to my skin care routine. I have not tried the product on my face yet, but will be doing so very soon.

- Leaves skin silky smooth
- Price is great considering it does the same thing as the overly expensive doctor’s machines.
- Reduces the look of fine lines.

- Really cant find any!

I have enclosed three pictures of my hand, same hand in both pictures. The first is the before and the second is the after shot. You may not be able to see much of a difference, but I am telling you now there is a great amount of difference in the texture of my hands. My boyfriend even mentioned the other day that my hands are so much smoother! The third picture is just an example of how it looks after the product is run across your skin. This product is painless and well worth the money.

Physicians Formula Bamboo Bronzer

Hi all,
So I was going to the post office which is in the drug store ( well this one is) to pick up a package and I came across these new physician formula bamboo bronzers. The first thing the packaging for these are what made me buy it, haha they are to freaking cute!! So I personally thought it was going to be a darker brown color but its more of a golden brown/orange color. It really is nice. I am very happy with this buy. Another great thing about these are that they are 100% hypoallergenic, for those of us with sensitive skin. One more great thing is that you can buy refills for the compact. Usually it is sold separately, I was lucky and got one of their package deals and got both the powder and compact for about 20 canadian dollars.

Highly sustainable, nutrient-rich and illuminating Bamboo Silk Powder delivers skin-renewing and skin-conditioning benefits for a perfect airbrushed bronze glow.
90% Natural Formula remineralizes, rebalances and restores.
Bamboo Silk Bronzer Refill helps condition, tone and lift.
Bamboo Silk Face Bronzer Refill fits easily into the Bamboo Compact. (Compact sold separately.

price: 20.00 C $

Three layer Bamboo compact. Top part has a mirror and comes with a cute little brush. The bottom part is where you would put the bronzer powder. The sections stay closed by using strong magnets.

Its very sheer as you can see but you can always build on it.

Hi all,
I know it has been awhile since I have done a blog post but this month has been insane. First it was my birthday and then we are moving in a week and to top it off we were gone for four days to Edmonton Alberta which is 5 Hours from where I live. So its been super crazy.
So anywho, before we left for Edmonton I had found out that E.L.F cosmetics was doing a internet wide sale of 60% of all items. No I had never gotten any sort of elf cosmetics before so I thought what the heck i'll give em a try. I think I went a little over board with the amount of stuff I got haha, but am so happy that I did now! Now I havn't had time to actually try any of the products I have gotten yet so in a couple weeks when I am all moved in and settled down in my new place I will be doing a review on every item. Sorry the pictures arn't the best quality, I didn't use my usual camera.

Yes I know I got an inane amount of them. I don't really have any nail polishes, I was never really into painting my nails, but the last few months I have been loving it so I though they are only 1$ why not go a little crazy haha. This is the only products of theirs I have tried yet and you know what I am loving them. I put a color on three days ago and it has not chipped off yet! To me thats pretty amazing for such a low coast nail polish.

Well my lovelies that is all for now. I will be doing a lot more post soon. Apologies again for the delay in posts!

Hi all,

So it was my birthday on July 13th!! I am now officially 20 haha.
So heres the thing, I didn't take any pictures except of the flowers my boyfriend had gotten me. I am also posting the pictures of my birthday gift from him!!

My Beautiful Flowers.

The Unreal Gift!

So he sends me an email saying heres part of your gift, And to my absolute surprise its FOUR DAYS at the FAIRMONT in BANFF CANADA!! So right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. (mind you this is only about a 8 -9 hour drive from where I live). But can you believe it, it looks like a freaking castle, sooo fancy. You know what this means ladies, shopping time, got to find fancy shoes and clothes...sooo excited. He had also got me a bunch of makeup which I will be doing a review on soon. I have to say I have the most AMAZING boyfriend in the world!

So I have recently been thinking that I really want to start making jewelry and see where it goes. So I had some beaded pearls and decided to make a bracelet out of them. So here is my first ever bracelet I made, Let me know what you guys think!

Avon Nailwear Pro Nailpolish

Hi all,

I recently was browsing through the Avon brochures and came across these gorgeous nail polish colors. I was really excited to get them because they looked so pretty in the brochure pictures. I received them and immediately put the pink color on. I was surprised that when I put it on the texture was really not at all that great. With each stroke it goes on thick and very goopy/sticky.

If you put to little of the paint on your brush it just doesn't glide over your nail at all and pretty much sticks in place. There really isn't a happy medium. I find that I can do my left hand really well, excluding the difficulties with the goopyness, but thats just because my right hand is my dominant hand so I can be very precise with every stroke. If your like me though this nail polish is hopeless for doing your right hand then its just way to finicky to make it look at all good.

However with saying all this I really do love the after look of the color on my nails. You can see within the pictures it really is a gorgeous color, I will have to take pictures of the other polish I got, which is a gorgeous green color called Jade. If any of you are in fact interested in purchasing these nail polishes or others that they provide just click HERE

The cost of these nail polishes are $2.95 CAD each in brochure #16
(Free shipping on all orders if you drop my name!)

(I am not paid or given any products for this review)

(All pictures were taken without a flash.)

Mini Sigma Makeup Haul

Hi all,
So I wanted to add more brushes to my collection and I have seen numerous people have the sigma set, they have a black and pink one. Of course me being a girly girl wanted the pink haha. With the brush set I also got their smokey eyes quad.

I definitely love these brushes, they truly are a great addition to my collection and best of all they are PINK! haha, Included is a large powder brush, A stippling brush, angled brush, foundation brush, concealer brush, blending brush, two eyeliner brushes, flat brush, shadow brush, and a pencil brush, I don't know all the specific names for them yet. haha bear with me. Not only are there a wide variety of brushes but, they also come in this great soft almost like a faux sued or leather case or something. This was a great buy.

Smokey Eyes Quad

I bought this quad in hopes to achieve that perfect sexy smokey eye look, Just as the pictures show on their site. When I got this item the eye shadows come in their own little compacts then you just pop them out and put them into the quad compact given. I personally find this a bit of a waste cause I know for a fact that I will never use those little compacts again which is a shame cause they are so darn cute. Getting to the eye shadows, I love the color of these shadows, but personally they are way to sparkly for my liking. Out of the four the "Paint It Black" is definitely my favorite. However this quad would really work if you were going out to a club or something but other than that just way to sparkly. Another thing about it that I didn't really like was the smell of the shadows. It is a really overwhelmingly powerful flowery smell. Maybe some like that, but I really don't. Overall I somewhat like the quad and intend on using it up, but I will not be making a re-purchase.

-Good for nightclub look.
-To sparkly
-Smell is way to flowery
-Need to apply a lot for color to show good.

Murad Sensitive Acne Skin Care UPDATE

Hi all,
Just an update on the Murad skin care system I have been using, just as I promised I would do.
So I am not even going to give a breakdown on each of the creams and gels that go on my face with this line like I said i would before. Its not even worth it. I am returning the stuff today. It has not only made my face breakout worse that it ever has in my life, but it has been making my face have an allergic reaction lately. This stuff has also also caused my pores to open up so much, I got large amounts of black heads as well as white heads under my eyes and around my nose. I have decided to go back to my previous skin care routine where I used Neutrogena's SkinID. DO NOT WASTE your money on this product (murad). I spent well over 200$ and this is what happened. So just wanted to warn you all to not make the same mistake I did.

FOTD..Red Lip Smitten

Hi all!
For today I really wanted to do a soft eye and a red lip look. For the eyes I used Coastal Scents 88 Metal Mania Palette. I love this palette. There are SO many looks you can accomplish with it. I have numbered the colors in the order they were used.
#1- This is just a really soft cream shade that I put all over my lid from upper lash line to my eyebrow for a base.
#2- This is a white shimmery color that I used for my brow highlight as well as the highlight for the inner corners of my eyes. I also used this color once the darker colors were on. I put it just on my lid making sure not to touch the crease where the darker colors are.
#3- This is a light brown/taupe color. I took some on my pencil brush from mac and worked the color into my crease then blended it out.
#4- This color is a dark brown/taupe color. I took a small fluffy brush and worked this color along my crease as well and blended it out. I also took this color on my pencil brush and lined my lower lash line. However I only took the color from the outer corner of my eye to the center.

Coastal Scents 88 Metal Mania Palette

Mac Viva Glam Cyndi

All I did for my lips was put some lip balm on and this lipstick. This is the only red lipstick I find that looks good on me. I love it so much that its the only lipstick I have a double for!!

Cover Girl's Lash blast Lengthening Mascara (Black)

I do not wear fake lashes I have very long lashes and find no need to wear fake ones. I really like this mascara. At first I didn't really, but I find I am like that with all mascaras. For some reason they go on weird when I first get them but after a week or so the texture of the product seems to change and I love it. This goes for all mascaras with me. For now this is my absolute favorite. It grabs every lash and lengthens it beyond belief. :D

Scary close up of my face :D hehe

My Nail Flower Attempt

Hi all,
So the other day I was just looking around at tutorials on youtube and I came across this girl who does amazing designs on her nails! So i thought i would start out small and try to do a couple of the flowers she does. So after lots of work this is as close to her flowers i could get.... I hope with practice I will get better :D However with that being said I love these flowers on bare nails or clear nail polish, They are just TOO GIRLY :D

I love this product. I used this for a base before drawing the flowers. Then after they were drawn i used it as a top coat to seel in the design. This stuff really makes your nails stiff and strong.

I used this color to create the flower peddles. I took the nail brush and just made four little dots. I then took a toothpick and dragged it through the center of each peddle and dragged it towards the center of the four peddles. This gives the four dots the look of a flower peddles. I then took a white nail polish and dabbed a dot of it in the middle.

Well this concludes my attempt to make cute little flower designs :D

Murad Sensitive Acne Skin Care System

Hi all,
Just a quick update on my new skin care routine. I unfortunately have mild acne prone and sensitive combination skin. My recent skin care routine was from neutrogena's skin care line called skinID. I found that the skinID system worked fairly well for me, but like most i am in constant search for that perfect skin care system that will give me flawless skin. So long story short, I have purchased murad's sensitive acne skin care regime. I have been using it for a little over a week now and havn't noticed much improvement. However most skin care lines say, as does this one, that it does get worse before it gets better, so thats what i am waiting on. So in another few weeks i will give a full review on each cream and gel that goes on my face from this line and if it has in fact worked.

Hi all, I had a great subscriber ask me a question about the korres lip butter and how the color looks when applied. So i thought what the heck i will just put up some swatches of the three korres lip butters i have. I own the colors, Jasmine, Pomegranate and Quince. Overall i really like these lip butters, but honestly i cant wear them by themselves. I always have to have a lipstick underneath them. I don't know what it is, I just don't like the feel of them on my lips.

This color is really close to the color of my natural lips but i put it over all of my nude lipsticks to give it that perfect shine and moisture.
