FOTD..Red Lip Smitten

Hi all!
For today I really wanted to do a soft eye and a red lip look. For the eyes I used Coastal Scents 88 Metal Mania Palette. I love this palette. There are SO many looks you can accomplish with it. I have numbered the colors in the order they were used.
#1- This is just a really soft cream shade that I put all over my lid from upper lash line to my eyebrow for a base.
#2- This is a white shimmery color that I used for my brow highlight as well as the highlight for the inner corners of my eyes. I also used this color once the darker colors were on. I put it just on my lid making sure not to touch the crease where the darker colors are.
#3- This is a light brown/taupe color. I took some on my pencil brush from mac and worked the color into my crease then blended it out.
#4- This color is a dark brown/taupe color. I took a small fluffy brush and worked this color along my crease as well and blended it out. I also took this color on my pencil brush and lined my lower lash line. However I only took the color from the outer corner of my eye to the center.

Mac Viva Glam Cyndi

All I did for my lips was put some lip balm on and this lipstick. This is the only red lipstick I find that looks good on me. I love it so much that its the only lipstick I have a double for!!




Cover Girl's Lash blast Lengthening Mascara (Black)

I do not wear fake lashes I have very long lashes and find no need to wear fake ones. I really like this mascara. At first I didn't really, but I find I am like that with all mascaras. For some reason they go on weird when I first get them but after a week or so the texture of the product seems to change and I love it. This goes for all mascaras with me. For now this is my absolute favorite. It grabs every lash and lengthens it beyond belief. :D

My Nail Flower Attempt

Hi all,
So the other day I was just looking around at tutorials on youtube and I came across this girl who does amazing designs on her nails! So i thought i would start out small and try to do a couple of the flowers she does. So after lots of work this is as close to her flowers i could get.... I hope with practice I will get better :D However with that being said I love these flowers on bare nails or clear nail polish, They are just TOO GIRLY :D

OPI NAIL ENVY- NAIL STRENGTHENER



I love this product. I used this for a base before drawing the flowers. Then after they were drawn i used it as a top coat to seel in the design. This stuff really makes your nails stiff and strong.

SALLEY HANSEN- #52



I used this color to create the flower peddles. I took the nail brush and just made four little dots. I then took a toothpick and dragged it through the center of each peddle and dragged it towards the center of the four peddles. This gives the four dots the look of a flower peddles. I then took a white nail polish and dabbed a dot of it in the middle.


Well this concludes my attempt to make cute little flower designs :D

Murad Sensitive Acne Skin Care System

Hi all,
Just a quick update on my new skin care routine. I unfortunately have mild acne prone and sensitive combination skin. My recent skin care routine was from neutrogena's skin care line called skinID. I found that the skinID system worked fairly well for me, but like most i am in constant search for that perfect skin care system that will give me flawless skin. So long story short, I have purchased murad's sensitive acne skin care regime. I have been using it for a little over a week now and havn't noticed much improvement. However most skin care lines say, as does this one, that it does get worse before it gets better, so thats what i am waiting on. So in another few weeks i will give a full review on each cream and gel that goes on my face from this line and if it has in fact worked.

KORRES LIP BUTTER

Hi all, I had a great subscriber ask me a question about the korres lip butter and how the color looks when applied. So i thought what the heck i will just put up some swatches of the three korres lip butters i have. I own the colors, Jasmine, Pomegranate and Quince. Overall i really like these lip butters, but honestly i cant wear them by themselves. I always have to have a lipstick underneath them. I don't know what it is, I just don't like the feel of them on my lips.

This color is really close to the color of my natural lips but i put it over all of my nude lipsticks to give it that perfect shine and moisture.

Avon Smokey Eye Look.

Hi all,
I recently received this eyeshadow quad from my sister, who is an avon representative (shopavon.ca). At first when I looked at the colors i wasn't to sure because i am not that into bright colors, but i thought what the heck, ill try it out. You know what I LOVE IT!.





EYES

All i did for this look was I took the light grey color, swept that all over my lid up to the crease. Then I took the dark grey color and worked it along the creases and on the outer corners of my eyes. I then blended the color out. I then took the light pinky/purple color and brushed it just on the center of my lid. I took the remaining white color and highlighted my brow bones as well as the inner corners of my eyes. I used my avon liquid eyeliner as well to line my up and lower lash lines.





LIPS

For my lips i used two products, I first applied revlon's colorburst lipstick in soft nude and on top of that i applied Korres lip butter in Jasmine.

Sexy Smokey Eye Look!

The Products Used



MAC- Gilt By Association
I used this eye shadow all over my lid then went back and wet my brush and just went up to the crease with the color again.



Mac- Vanilla eye shadow
I used this color for my brow highlighter and also for my inner corners to brighten the look of my eyes.



Avon- Perfect Wear Eyewriter Liquid Eyeliner ( Evening Black)
This is the eyeliner that I use 90% of the time for all of my eye looks. I adore and love this eyeliner. I find its very easy to control my strokes. ( Shopavon.ca - this is my sisters site if any of you are interested in any of the avon products you see on my blog :D)



Mac- Pearlmatte Face Powder
I recently got this face powder and I must say i ADORE it. I use it for a blush as well as an overall bronzer. I also use the white part of it to highlight the apples of my cheeks!



Mac- Viva Glam GAGA Lipstick
I also got this product recently and find it goes perfect with every smokey eye look that I do. I do not wear a lip gloss or balm with this lipstick I find I like it better on its own.

Coastal Scents 88 Metal Mania Eye Look

First off I am going to start out with saying that I really think this was a great buy. I love playing around with the variety of colors everyday to create new looks. I have taken a picture of the entire palette to show which colors I used and in what order. #1- All over the entire lid up to the brow. #2- this i used for a highlighter color so just under my brow on the bone. #3- This color is a nice brown bronze color that I applied to the outer part of my lid and worked it half way into the center. #4- This is an awesome gold color that I brushed all over my lid towards the center to meet with the bronze color. I also used this color to put in my inner corners to brighten up the look of my eyes.
Overall I love this palette and there should be many more looks to come :D enjoy!
